| Passionate, You Bet I Am, Especially About Type II Diabetes If you've never had a serious health issue "personally", chances are you've never given your health much thought. If you have, let me guess what you determined to do.. Went to your doctor. Why?. Because this is what people do.. Right? Let me preface my next statement, by stating when it comes to immediate life threatening health challenges, or emergency life threatening situations, doctors are necesary to stabilize your health challenge, or put you back together. Again, most people go to the doctor.. Right? Well, uninformed people do, especially those who have been diagnosed with high blood pressure. I could use a stronger word to define you, buts let's leave it at that. This is what I did 20 years ago. So, now your asking yourself, what should I do, or what should I have done? Simply, you should, or should have informed yourself about the condition you have, "Accept" .."Your Health Is Your Responsibility" just like other areas of your life which you take personal responsibility . Sounds "strange" doesn't it? It did to me also, 20 years ago, especially when my doctor couldn't tell me why I had all of a sudden developed "high blood pressure". I thought this was extremely "strange". I asked, You don't know why? The answer was avoided, and contributed to life style, salt, etc. So, let me clarify. You don't know why, but you suggest I take this "pill" to bring it down. I thought in other words, "Hide the symptom of an underlying problem" which is causing the condition. THEN THE LIGHT CAME ON."My Health Is My Responsibility", and these "pills aren't going to cure the underlying problem". Not very hard to come to this conclusion when you inform yourself, and take Responsibility for Yourself. Well, I determined the reasons behind the high blood pressure, and eliminated safely my dependency on the drugs. But What Does The Above Have To Do With Type II Diabetes? Well, Welcome 20 years later. October 2006. Unfortunately, I slowly reverted back to many of the lifestyle changes I eliminated. I slowly reverted back to the old eating habits I had eliminated, and wella..in 20 years I developed symptoms of "underyling" medical conditions again. Fortunately though, the conditions didn't manifest itself into any unreversable dehabilitating challenges damaging my overall health and stability. But, this time my blood pressure had drastically elevated itself, and my blood sugar level elevated/ My doctor diagnosed me with type II Diabetes. My weight was such, I needed to loose 100 lbs so as not to be considered obese. How could I have let this happen, knowing what I new? Well, that's a different story for later. ON TO THE CURRENT STORY Doc, I'm not taking any prescription drugs Is their another way? Here's what I remembered about drugs.. Pharmaceutical drugs aren't the answer, Almost all prescription drugs lead to a gradual depletion of vitamins and other essential cellular nutrients in the body. Drugs are generally synthetic, non-natural substances that our bodies absorb. Therefore, our bodies recognize as "toxic". Thus, all synthetic drugs have to be "detoxified" by the liver in order to eliminate them from our bodies. This "detoxification process requires Vitamin C, as well as other nutrients, thus being used up. But now, look what happens... The most common and efficient way for the body to rid itself of these "toxins" is called "hydroxylation", and the strongest "hydroxylating " agent is Vitamin C, which is literally destroyed during the Livers"detoxification" process. The result of the above example. The cells deprived of one of the most important Vitamins it requires.. Which leads to a chronic Vitamin depletion in the body, and the onset of cardiovascular disease. Since I hadn't been taking any medications, They weren't depleting my body of Vitamin C and other Nutrients, but I had also eliminated supplementation from my lifestyle years ago. So, since Drugs weren't my answer in addressing these conditions, I informed my Doctor I would tackle these challenges with lifestyle changes, which would include dietary changes, exercise, and nutritional supplementation. My cousin had introduced me to a Nutraceutical month's earlier, which I remembered, and thankfully so. I then started my research on the necessary dietary changes required it was easy enough to incorporate a simple exercise program into my plan. So, to summarize what's the answer? It's two fold First, eliminate those drugs, but safely. Secondly, Start to Supplement your diet. To accomplish this, it's going to require I mean CELLULAR NUTRITIONAL effort, and changing your life style. SUPPLEMENTATION. Health Change eating habits, bad habits, starts at the Cellular Level. Your body will respond to these changes. Most supplements do not deliver nutrients to the cells. Your going to find quite a bit of resistance to my first suggestion, from about all of those folks who themselves haven't subscribed to You Guessed It HEALTH IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY However, quite a few folks understand the importance to supplementation including your doctor, consequently, you'll not find as much resistance. Also, you'll find the American Medical Association in their June 2002 Publication says. Every citizen should be supplementing their diets.
